Arts Administrator Apprenticeship Level 2

An exciting opportunity to develop within the creative and artistic fields at Rosetta Art Centre. Working closely with the Centre Coordinator and Arts Development officer, you will be responsible for the general administration of visual art courses, workshops and projects. Must have an interest in visual arts (painting, photography, film etc), exhibitions and galleries. 
Computer skills are essential with experience of Microsoft Word office programs and databases. Knowledge of photoshop would be an advantage.

 

 Job Description:

 

Your responsibilities will include:

 

- Answering telephone enquiries

- Creating Databases

- Assisting the Arts Development Officer with funding applications

- Assisting with Marketing and PR work

- Stock control and ordering of art materials

- Organising and preparing pblicity materials for exhibitions and workshops

- Filing and photocopying

 

Salary:

£95 per week

 

Hours of Work:

31 hours per week over 12 months


Mon, Wed, Thurs & Fri  9:30am - 5:30pm

Tues  10:30am - 1:30pm

Job Specification:

 

Skills Required:

- Excellent organisational skills

- Computer literate with experience of microsoft packages

- Good standard of written and spoken English

- An interest in the Visual Arts and Arts Education

- Flexible in approach to working

- Happy to assist in the range of tasks ecessary to Rosetta's aims

 

Qualifications Required:

• Literate and numerate

• A visual art related qualification would be useful, but is not essential. More

  importantly you should have a keen interest in the visual arts

• Proactive

• Work well within a team or on own

• Good organizational skills

• Cheerful can-do attitude to problem solving


Due to the nature of business you will be required from time to time to work outside Rosetta Art Centre, which may include assisting in Art Workshops, and traveling on local transport.

Your position will be varied, however, there may be times when your work will involve long periods of time on a computer, answering calls, filing and photocopying.
